What is ultraviolet?
Ultraviolet light is a part of the light spectrum, which is classified into three wavelength ranges.
UV-C, from 100nm to 280nm.
UV-B, from 280nm to 315nm.
UV-A, from 315nm to 400nm.
What is germicidal ultraviolet?
Ultraviolet Germicidal light-It deactivates the DNAof bacteria, viruses and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability
to multiply and cause disease, especifically UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming
covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA. The formation of such bonds prevents the DNAfrom being
unzipped for replication. And the organis, is unable to reproduce. In fact, when the organism tries to replicate, it dies.
What are the uses of germicidal UV?
Ultraviolet technology is a non-chemical approach to disinfection. In this method of disinfection, nothing is added which makes this process simple, inexpensive and requires very low
maintenance.
How to use instrument Sterilizer
Ultraviolet germicidal cabinet provides a safe and convenient means of sanitizing all small instruments, utensils, stethoscopes, vacuum suction glassware, make up sponges, bandages etc. The
item which cannot be sterilized in the steam sterilizers, these can be placed in the ultraviolet cabinet after cleaning them from an antiseptic solution I disinfectant in which the sterilization is carried
out by short-wave Ultra violet radiation generated by 8 watt germicidal tube.
- DISTALTIMER:-The instrument sterilizer is equipped with a digital timer from 1 to 60 minutes that can be adjusted depending upon the use.
- ALARM:- Alarm facility is provided after the completion of the time period of the timer.
- AUTO SENSOR:-The sensor automatically switches OFF the system when the door is opened in ON mode.
- SAFETYKEY:- A protection key is provided in the system which enables it to prevent its use by any unauthorised person.
