B.O.D. Incubator (Low Temperature Incubator)
- It is designed for both heating and cooling options. It is generally used for incubation where a high degree of constant temperature accuracy is required.
- These incubators are widely used in the pharmaceutical and beverage industries, in waste treatment plants, in research laboratories and in the agricultural industry for the routine determinat ion of the Bio-chemical oxygen demand (B.O.D.).
- The inner chamber is made up of anodized aluminum or stainless steel.
- It is supplied with two/three removable perforated shelves.
- The exterior is made up of a thick sheet of mild steel duly finished in powder coating .
- For working at lower temperatures, a cooling unit is provided at the lower portion of the working chamber, whereas a heating arrangement has been made in the inner chamber for working at higher temperatures.
- The temperature varies from S °C to 60°C, and is adjustable at any desired point by a Dual Display Microprocessor PID Digital Temperature Indicator cum Controller with an accuracy of ± O.S C.
- An air circulation fan is provided to keep the temperature uniform inside the chamber.
- A double walled door is provided with a magnetic gasket and a lock & key arrangement.
- The inner door is made out of a clear acrylic sheet allowing the inspection of the material in the chamber,without disturbing the chamber temperature.
- Door operated inner illumination has been provided.
- TheIncubator works on 220 V AC SO Hz single phase
